The Paintings of El Dorado

Wagon and Remuda

Nature dominates the scene as bright sunlight casts deep shadows. The rocky buttes and gorges seem to resent the intrusion of humanity represented by a chuckwagon and remuda crossing at the bottom, lower right. The column proceeds obliquely into the pictorial space.

This painting was originally owned by John K Goodman of Tucson, Arizona.

A limited edition print was published by O. W. Productions in 1981.

From a 1967 painting titled: “Wagon and Remuda”
Oil on canvas, 28 x 38 inches
